Christina Hall and Josh Hall are flipping the switch on their relationship.
More than two years after the couple tied the knot in an imitate ceremony, Josh has filed for divorce from the HGTV star, according to court documents obtained by E! News July 16.
In the paperwork filed, Josh cites the reason behind the split as irreconcilable differences and the date of separation listed is July 8. He is also seeking spousal support from the reality star.
According to a source with knowledge, "the ending of their marriage was dramatic."
E! News has reached out to Christina and Josh’s reps for comment and has not heard back.
Their breakup comes just over three years after Josh and Christina—who shares kids Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and son Hudson, 4, with ex Ant Anstead—first started spending time together in March 2021.
Fast-forward to later that year, Christina penned a sweet tribute to her then-boyfriend, expressing their bond.
"Happy birthday baby," Christina captioned a September 2021 Instagram post. "You give me that teenage kinda love vibe and manly protection. It's a combo for a lifetime of happiness + success. Thank you for reminding me what life and love are like when you put down the technology. I love you Josh." The following April, the two tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Their change in status also comes just weeks after she shared insight into what made their dynamic so special, which included the pair being “communicative."
And by March 2023, Josh poked fun at critics of their romance, joking in a social media post alongside photos of them over the years, “’How long will this one last?’ ..03/2023 03/2022 03/2021."
As for Christina, she made sure to respond with a promise, writing, "Better be,” to which Josh replied, "@thechristinahall You know we can't be broken, we just get stronger and stronger."
But Josh wasn’t the only one that defended their relationship, as Christina herself also cleared the air about her personal life.
"I may be a bit crazy and I'm definitely not perfect, but I will never live my life based on other people's judgments or opinions,” she wrote in a 2022 Instagram post. “We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect…. So yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 -I'll do what I want."
Their change in status also comes just weeks after she shared insight into what made their dynamic so special, which included the pair being “communicative."
"Keep communication open," she told E! News earlier this month in an exclusive interview, "and then having alone time when we can, whether it's date night, going on little trips—just things like that."
The Christina on the Coast star also noted that she and her husband were on the same page.
"We're in a good rhythm right now," she added, "and I want it to stay that way. Just peace, calm, fun and as little chaos as possible."
