Britney Spears is continuing to share never-before-known details from her life three months after her memoir published.
In a since-deleted Instagram post Wednesday, Spears – whose account is currently private – shared what she called a "cool pic of me and Ben Affleck and Diane Warren years ago."
"He's such an amazing actor. Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night ... I honestly forgot," she wrote in the caption. "Wish I could tell you guys the story that happened before that!!! Oh dear, I'm just being a gossip girl."
In the undated photo, Spears is sandwiched between a younger Affleck – who is nine years her senior – and the Grammy-winning songwriter. Spears has had three marriages, with Jason Alexander, Kevin Federline and Sam Asghari, while Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner between 2005 and 2015 (when they split) before tying the knot with Jennifer Lopez in 2022.
USA TODAY has reached out to Affleck's rep for comment.
In her memoir "The Woman in Me" (Gallery Books, 288 pp., out now), Spears detailed the unyielding drama in her life through triumphant performances, severe depression, betrayal by family, her agonizing 13-year conservatorship and recent return to the charts. Among several revelations was that she allegedly became pregnant during her relationship with Justin Timberlake in the early 2000s and had an abortion.
Last week, Spears said on Instagram that she wanted to "apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book," without getting into specifics. "If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry," she wrote.
Last month, the singer took to Instagram to reveal in another since-deleted post that she will "never return to the music industry" happen.
The 42-year-old shared Jan. 3 in a lengthy Instagram caption that she has no plans for a new album, despite reports that she has been reaching out to others for a project.
"I will never return to the music industry !!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!!" Spears wrote. "For those of you who have read my book, there's loads that you don't know about me … I've written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!! I'm a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way !!!"
